New Smyrna Speedway hosted vintage drag racin' Sunday afternoon.... BIG FUN!! $5 entry, burn ALL the tire you want to, run as many times as you want to. The strip was about 300ft. or so on the pit road for the oval track.. no timing and an arm drop start. New Smyrna's a 1/2mi. banked oval. There were 100 or so cars and a zillion motorcycles. I helped my neighbor with his vintage alcohol dragster(early 70's chassis) and ran the Blazer some. WAY MORE FUN THAN ANY CAR SHOW!! The only casualty was a nice Cobra kit car that smacked the wall pretty hard.

very cool! no smokey burn out pic with the blazer? My buddy has a house in NSB 1/4 from ocean. hope to get down there for bike week this march.

Thanks Jeff... first time I saw it was in one of your posts, how's yours coming along? Mine's been a pleasure and pretty much trouble free. It seems to LIKE getting run hard.
fxdxharley, no smokey burnout pic 'cause I've got a 3.07 open rear.. one wheel burnouts are embarasing  . One lane was concrete and the other was asphalt. The concrete was a little stickier. The secondaries blasted the right rear in both 1st & 2nd on the asphalt side. here's a couple more pics from Sunday ....

yeah no one likes a one wheel peel smoke show. still fun but not as cool. lol! glad you had fun with it. time for a locker and some 3.73's.

I'll probably go with an Auburn. I think 3.73's would be too steep for my 3.27 first gear TKO.
It's only money but my "BUDGET DIRECTOR" reminds me I promised to sell some stuff when I bought the Blazer.

valid point on the gears. how do you like the tko? I have a line on one from a coworker. was thinking a t-56 but if i can get the tko for a reasonable cost i might go with it.
