Wheel question

I tried to search but never really found the answer I was looking for. I just got a 1967 short stepside with 18's been lowered somewhat. It has a bent wheel so I'm going to get a new set. To my question, will a 18x9,6 backspace, +30 offset, 100.4mm bore work? They are 6x5.5 lugs also. Thanks for any help

Re: Wheel question

The 6" backspace won't fit. It will rub the inside of the bed. I have a 17x9.5" wheel with 5.5" bs and it rubbed, so I had to run 7/16" spacers.

On anything wider than 8.5" needs a 5" bs on stepsides.

Re: Wheel question

Maybe a dumb question but what about running a spacer on mine? Also I intend on switching to a wide bed. Would that help? Thanks

Re: Wheel question

You will have to run adapter style spacers to go any thicker than 7/16". Also, I'm not sure about that center hub bore. That sounds like a wheel designed for late model trucks.

Changing the bed won't help too much, they have more room in the wheel well, but it's more to the outside area, which won't help with deeper backspacing.
