Just think, put that on a 1 ton chassis, with a bug block or an LS 6.0 in it, a 5 speed, and flowmaster exhaust. I would paint it yellow and rock the cruises and shows with it, this would be what a School Bus SHOULD be!

Re: 1965 Chevy small bus, CL ad, not mine

That'd make an awesome race car tow rig... Add a bulkhead at the last two windows and use the rear emergency exit as the entry to "The Tool Room..." outfit it with cabinets and bench top, and it'd be big enough for a one-man shop. Tools, spare parts and fluids stored neatly, a bench grinder, a drill press and a vise on the counter tops... Lay it out like a horseshoe, with the opening facing the rear door. Step in, walk into the middle of it, and go to work.
In the passenger compartment, put some comfortable seats, a couch (that naturally folds into a bed) and a TV, load up the race car and buddies, and head to Mexico for the La Carrera PanAmericana race, or Bonneville.

I think I would choose the 6.0 versus the 'bug' block any day !!
