The speedwarning dash is worth $300.
I would pay close to $3,500 for that truck, and I wouldn't do anything more than clean it up and drive it. I maybe would consider dropping it a few inches front and rear but that would be the only change I would make.
The paint would look pretty good cleaned up. I would ditch the S10 hubcaps for some period correct caps.

That truck is very unique with the buckets, AC, speed warning, 327, and power brakes. The non-factory options are cool too like the topper and grille guard.

i like a friend had one same color from ok. and had the same markers on the front fenders i would be all over that truck for sure it has some real good options clean it up and drive

See the knob next to the headlight switch? You turn that and it moves the small needle on the speedometer. When the speedometer needle gets to that short needle the buzzer will sound. It is used to warn you that you are going over your desired speed.
It is a rare option that is desirable by many truck fans.

i just talked to him today, I have to be patient with this guy, even though hes a good buddy at 75 hes old school and stuck in his ways.. Im playing it cool I talk to him about once a week and I always kid him that I have cash and ready to buy, but hes just a stubborn good old dude

I was at Lowes and here was this cool looking truck and I thouight if I wind up getting my friends truck I want it to look like this lowered and really nice wheels, anyone know if these wheels are standards, I believe this is a 69 shortbed, and would wheels like this fit on a 67?

I am afraid that the fact that value of this truck is it's originality is lost on you. It appears to have many desirable options. It's value is the fact that the truck was built with these options and still has them! So often parts like the oil bath air cleaner go into the trash for a "better" race car style part.

If you want a driver truck to lower and change about then buy more of a driver truck. So very often I hear about "completely restored, except for...." and they turn out to have excepted right out of their unique parts. A good example would be an early 396 A/C truck that now has a 502/4L80 and vintage air.

At the beginning of this thread you didn't want to overpay because the owner didn't know the value of his truck. From the looks of this thread there are many things you don't know about it either.

Might want to sit down and study up on it. If you can get the option list we will help sort and explain it for you.

In the end, can you afford the truck and its needs to keep it? Or are you looking for a driver truck to toss wheels on and pull the "old man stuff" off of regardless of value?

I like the style of this red 69 truck but I do not want to compromise the 67 if and when I get it so I will most likely keep it as is and the only change would be wider wheels(maybe) I just got off the phone with my friend and if its going to be sold to me he said 3 grand would work but he will wait a few months untill his move.. I do not want to change anything at all really just the interior redone and maybe paint down the road and just clean it up, I dont want a resto mod I dont have that kind of cash to throw around, but all u guys on this site are very helpful and I really appreciate honest answers, so keep them comming

That brush guard is period correct, and I believe was a dealer option.
You don't see them around very much anymore, and if I found one I would put it on my 1970 4x4.

Buy the truck with the least amount of rust that you can find. Then do whatever you want to it to make it the way YOU want it
