A little help? 1955 3200 housecar

I have a 1955 3200 that has a factory conversion to a house car. Shows 61,000 miles. Everything is there but needs a lot of TLC. Any help or advice you might offer would be appreciated.

You will need to begin by posting several photos.
I am very interested in what you have, there.

Re: A little help? 1955 3200 housecar

I wouldn't call that a house car, It's a cab high metal canopy with fold down beds in it.

Built by the company listed on the tag and quite possibly custom built for that truck.

It looks a lot like the camper shell my stepfather had made by a sheet metal shop in Poulsbo Wa in about 1959 for our 54 3100.

Nice for going to swap meets as you can lock your stuff up inside and walk away from the truck and not worry about it being there when you get back. It wouldn't be bad for a road trip to Bonneville either for camping in the back of the truck.

71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Back then you had an option to register a truck with a cap as a House Car in California. It would be a Camper tag today. The title would say House car not truck
