1980 tach cluster!

Tomorrow im going to get a tach cluster from a 1980 shortbed k10 4x4 out if the junkyard.my buddy was there today just before closing and found it and sent me pics so I imagine it'll be there and he gets 20$ for entire clusters.

So my question is, I have an 82 c10. What will I need to do to use this in my truck? Any advice will be great

Re: 1980 tach cluster!

Get the 3 wire tach sub-harness. The signal wire is run through its' own firewall grommet to the HEI cap. Power and ground terminate inside the cab.

If you're going gauges to gauges + tach... the panel plug is pinned out the same 1978-86. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=456877
