Kick Panel Install (Need Help)

Hey Gents-

I recently purchased these Kick Panels for my truck(See Link Below) from 73-87 chevy trucks.com.

I want to Glue Them so that there's no screws showing. Has any body here used these - How did you install these. Also, What kind of glue do you reccomend? I don't want my kick panels to come apart. Thanks for your help.

Yeah, and Q-Forms has some decent ones if you're running components. I decided to go this route because I'm running 6.5 (Three Way) Infinity Kappas 6.39i up front. I have the matching 6x9s in the rear Infinity 6.93i with the Brackets provided from Jeff (BigBlock 73).

Re: Kick Panel Install (Need Help)

I just used 3 black torx head screws on each side of mine a bit longer than factory going thru mine and the factory panel to the metal to hold mine in place.

I was able to use factory rubber seals and attachments for clean installation.

With the E-brake engaged, the pedal stops about a 1/4" before it would hit it. I've had the kick panel speakers installed for almost a year, and I thought maybe after the E-brake wore down in year it may start hitting. Still all good, with zero modifications.

Re: Kick Panel Install (Need Help)

Looks real good. But I got big feet so those things would bother me. I think I'm mounting in the door carpets like some people do.

Yeah, Thanks. I still need to detail the interior, but it's still a work in process. I have alot left to do to the interior.

I need to build a box for my sub, replace the carpet, replace the bench seat, and replace the dash.

Re: Kick Panel Install (Need Help)

I found this sub-box enclosure that met my dimension specs, and then all I had to do was make an amp board to match. Seat still goes all the way back and reclines all the way.

That's a clean install. I think I'm going with the JL tw5 and I will just build a box to house the sub and two jl amps. We'll see how it goes. I'll keep you posted.
