87 made it to Texas
I drove my 87 to Texas without any problems. It did use one half a qt. of oil. I drove 65 to 75 miles per hour. One time I thought the hood cable was broke because the hood did not pop up. But when I closed the door the hood popped up. It was about a 1,000 mile trip.

Welcome to the Lone Star and Red State!!
Did you have doubts??? 1000 miles is nothing!! Use some WD-40 on the latch. Here heat is your enemy. Install an external oil cooler if you don't have one. |
