2004 GMC Sierra 1500 starting problems

Hello

I have a 2004 GMC Sierra SL 1500 4.8L with 108,000 miles with a remote starter. I starting having trouble starting the vehicle in September. I replaced the battery and it would start fine until the vehicle would sit for a day or two. I bought a 2nd new battery but the same thing would happen.

I towed it into a shop and of course it would always start for them. they checked all the ground, battery and starter connections and everything is good.

They said it could be a problem with the remote starter or the column shifter could be wearing out.

Any advice?

Thanks in advance.

The shop should know it has a parasitic draw on the battery, Did they perform a parasitic draw test on your truck?
