Yeah,,,propane just ain't hot enough. Any which way ya go with heating and bending the chrome is going to suffer. If its under the floor and isn't seen, a person can live with it. I want things perfect and most people (like You and Me ) even if its not seen by others, we know whats there and still want it to be perfect. Its that silly pride in your work thing.
Not to make lite of your situation,,,,,, but in conversations past.......this situation would be a great topic for your show idea.

And you did all that before 10 below. Where were you when I needed an engineer on my boat. One slick nut McMurphy. I'm so stalled without a shop I feel like I'm going backwards. Peace.

Vaarry clever,,,,Vaaarry clever.
Nice vid MM. You have a way cooler selection of hats than I do.
Going to have to start a "builds" thread with just video.
-guess balls back in my court-
Sorry I missed the question, those people from Cannes keep calling me asking if I would bring my movie....
It was a 4 bolt install, but I made the second bracket with 5 to give me more options. Not only with this shifter handle, but perhaps some other set up down the road.
Perhaps the Moderators or Owners of the Board would be interested in setting something up like that for a video section...
I suppose some of it could be year/model specific, but some would be generic enough to be shared with the entire community.

That is what I like about you Bomp, you have great ideas and you are not afraid to voice them !!!

I didnt even get thru half of the hats I took down there for this...maybe in the sequel ??

Thanks Captain, this site helps a lot, and some comic relief helps too I think.

Re: Not Another Rebuild Thread....

Not much new this week.
Heater core finally came in, and got an order off for my shocks.

Right after I made that last video, I pulled the engine and tranny because I did not know to install the pilot bearing for the transmission. This was a good thing, as I realized I did not have a tranny inspection plate/cover.

So I made one.
This is my story.....

Well I hope this gets a chuckle or two and just goes to show how totally unprepared I was to do this build, and how primative some of my tools and skills are !!

Fun times, though I dont think I want to do a choregraphed video like this again...took me all day today to get it right, and the sync the "acting" with the music!!
But was all in good fun.

Hope you guys had a productive weekend, and yes in that "Boo-Yaa" shot I am holding the outside thermometer, and it was at -20. Just to put it in context, if I leave a cup of water on the floor of my garage over night, it will be frozen in the morning, even with the heater set at 70.

I know .... ..... right ??

Ok... screw that action! Call me what you will, I don't do cold. At all. You more of a man than me! I like the videos, and hope for your sake that whatever contract has you trapped up there is up soon! Oh, cool build, too!
