Allison transmission

Hello everyone. I have what might be a stupid qurstion,but i have learned things from asking stupid questions. Does anyone know if there's a way to put an allison transmission on a regular gasoline engine. All replies are appreciated. Thanks.

Allison makes several models.....LCT1000, AT545, MT643 etc. etc.
Can you be more specific on what model your looking in to?

What is the reason you ask are you trying to get better gas mileage or what?

An AT545 will not give better mileage, It doesnt even have a overdrive gear, The power that it takes to run a AT545 you would lose mileage.

On a gas engine i would run a 4l60 or 4l80 depending how much power the engine has.
