1992 gmc rally/vandura as donor?

Ben reading a while but never posted. This 92 gmc van is priced pretty fair and I was wondering if this would be a good donor vehicle to upgrade my 66 swb fleet side? Not worried much about the brakes since im doing lowered spindles and everything new as far as brakes are concerned! Ive read about the power box being backwards as well! I know this has been beaten to death but it seems that 2wd suburbans of the proper year are almost imposable to come by around here and I want the best donor vehicle to steal everything from for my old truck. Thanks!

I'm not sure if a '92 is the same as a late 80's or not. Assuming it is, you can use many components from the Van. The control arms, calipers, rotors and spindles (I know you are going with dropped spindles). The brake booster will be compatable with my booster bracket and the master cylinder should work as well as the prop valve. It is true that the Van steering box will not work, as it turns backwards.
