Flip kit, flip kit, do I need a flip kit???

Hey guys i have a question that I HOPE has a few good answers. So I have a 74' C20 2wd that I lowered last summer. I put drop shackles/hangers and 3'' lower control arms. I still am not happy with how it sits. I looks like a stock 2wd 1/2 ton now. My father has MS and still cannot get into it easliy..thats the reason I lowered it. I want to try drop spindles and a flip kit in the rear but Im worried the stance will be all kittywampas..I cant afford a good air bag setup right now and really hope someone has run into this problem as well. it currently has 16'' wheels now and I want to keep them that size. Can anyone help??

you could cut one coild for another 2" and then remove some of the shorter leafs. those hold allot of arch and if you have 8 plus the over load then try keeping 4long springs and the bottom one.

Well you may not be happy with the fact that you will have to get rid of the lowering setup you have now to go lower.
Front needs stock arms and some cut stock springs and some drop spindles
The rear can be flipped with a western flip kit but the hangers need to go back to stock. You can keep the rear kit you have currently and change the stance by swapping the rear stock hangers with lowering hangers as well

I would also suggest maybe a swiveling captains chair from an elcamino or van or something. May make things much easier

It looks from the pics you could get a decent drop from a set of lower profile tires. You may not have much room to drop the suspension in the front with those tall tires.

Yea, I was thinking this also. My 3/4 ton tires were almost 31" tall.
