Transmission question

I have a 70 Chevy c10 shortbed and I'm putting in a T400 transmission in it. My question is, do I need a short tail or long tail end for that tranny? The truck did not come with an engine or a tranny so I don't know what should go in to clear the driveshaft. Any information is appreciated. Thank you all for your time.

Re: Transmission question

Short tails are the only onea that I've seen on them.
