Transmission help

I have a 1985 c10 350 tubo 350 tranny just changed my tranny fluid and filter switched to chrome pan . So the problem i have is that it will shift hard sometimes doesnt want to shift i took it on the highway it did great pushed it to 75 no problem my bro says i put too much fluid thats why it does that ? can u guys tell me what to do like take some fluid out or what ?

check the vacuum line from the manifold to the modulator(right rear corner of trans) sounds like it is pinched or maybe has a hole in it. Or you might have buggered up the kick down linkage when you installed the filter.

ok thank you ill check that tomorrow will any damage be done by this also my engine seems to be accelerated more then usual ?!

How many miles are on it? Old tranmissions are better off with keeping old oil. The oil has clutch material in it. The material helps take gaps up between friction plates. It's better to add oil to old tranmissions.

Check the detent cable setting. Manually check operation of the cable at the throttle connection. Unplug the cable from the carb. Using a pair of pliers, check for cable operation.

so i took my truck to tranny shop since i have no clue on these trucks and they said it is the vaccum modulator and also some swollen lines and way to much oil gunna fix it charge me 180 which is not bad it could be much worse
