Radiator hose question?
I'm looking for radiator hoses for my 85 GMC 5.3 swap. I'm using a stock fit Champion radiator and need hoses both upper and lower. The necks on the 5.3 water pump are different sizes than the necks on the radiator. What adapters/hoses are you guys running?
This has probably been resolved a million times but from a quick search I couldn't find a definitive answer. Please post links to similar threads with useful info! |

Re: Radiator hose question?
I used a stock 99 up silverado lower hose, and the upper is made up of two hoses with a piece of pipe in the middle because I have a f-body water pump and the rad has outlets on the same side.....they are different sizes, but it will go on....still gotta do something better looking with that upper hose....

Re: Radiator hose question?
I used the '99-'06 truck upper and lower hoses....ends weren't right but with a little extra effort went on.

Re: Radiator hose question?
Thanks guys! I bought the stock upper hose and it went on without much hassle on both ends. I don't know why I'm stressin over the little things, but I guess when you're a broke college student in the middle of an LS swap peaking over $2000 worth, you want to buy the right thing once!
