Re: sunvisor wiring?

nice!

thing I would worry about the most is getting the wires into the cab, without causing a major leak in the future.

just wire them to the healights or running lights:

schematics can be found here:

Re: sunvisor wiring?

I would wire it directly to the parking lights... you can drill a small hole under the visor to accommodate the lights but youll have to silicone it well to avoid water leakage

Re: sunvisor wiring?

It looks like each light only has one wire for power so that means the light housing is self grounding but since you have them mounted on fiberglass they won't ground. You are going to have to hook one mounting stud on each light to a second wire and run it with the power wire to a ground inside the cab. Your going to have to drill a hole near the drivers side A pillar to run the wires into the cab to the fuse panel. There should be an unused terminal in the fuse panel to connect to for power to the cab lights.

Yup!
Even seen a member use a blow gun to blow cotton string through the hole, top to bottom,to run the wire in the pillar...
and a member wired the outsides to work with his blinkers

Re: sunvisor wiring?

I wired up my outer clearance lights on my burb to flash with the turn signals.
1. Run a power wire to all lights from the parking lights.
2. Run a ground lead to the 3 center lights only.
3. Run a 2nd power lead from your rght side turn signal lead (Access this either under the hood and through the fire wall on the drivers side or under the dash if you can find the proper wire to tap into under there) an up to the far right clearnce lamp.
4. Run a 3rd power lead to the left side the same as you did the right.
5. Doing it this way no grounds are required for the 2 outer lamps for them to be operational.
I did this to mine 6 years ago and have had absolutely no problems with it what-so-ever.
