350-np205 gasket

on my 72 the t/c adaptor was leaking trans fluid into t/c nothing visualy looks bad (seals or coupling shaft) and the seals were in rite ?
also there was no gasket for the adaptor to the t/c just a coat of silicone didnt leak so is it needed or not ? what do you guys think about all this

I think you need to take it apart and replace the seals and the gasket. On the T-350 side of the adapter is about a 4'' square cut "o" ring. On the inside is a 27 spline conversion sleeve that takes a seal on both sides. Then on the t-case side there is a gasket.

kw i didnt see anything wrong with the seals or the spline coupling the vents seem to be ok on the t/case and the trans so i picked up a couple new seals cleaned everything up put it back in and i guess we will see what happens

I forgot to mention the O ring on the t-case splines should also be replaced

i didnt have any leaks till the t/case had a couple extra quarts of atf in it

Have used for years atf leaking through just dont park on the concrete. some day will fix when i do rebuild.
