67, remove tuneport install 5.3
Got a new project at the shop . It's a nice 67 with a camaro tuneport that has a pretty bad wiring install. So I'm removing and replacing with a 5.3 .
The motor when I got it home. Motor washed up getting ready for paint Removed all unwanted wiring from harness getting ready to rerout for a cleaner look exiting behind the intake Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: 67, remove tuneport install 5.3
Got some work do today
Took a while to get the mounts to work with stock a/c. Had to notch the compressor bracket in order to move the mounts forward enough to clear the headers. Eventually I got everything bolted up and marked the frame for some small clearance issues. I then removed everything to focus on engine bay cleanup before final install. Then on to some major wiring issues Posted via Mobile Device |

Looking good. How do you like that column? I was kind of thinking of going that route if it wasn't too much trouble.

Getting close just need to button up few loose ends but you know how that is, forgot this forgot that.
Wiring routed into cab behind cluster where PCM relays and fuse block are located. The view from my shop tonight. Had to take some time from wiring and put a cam in my truck. Posted via Mobile Device |

Very cool progress and an awesome install. I'm putting a LQ4 in a '72. Any chance you have pictures of the modified a/c bracket? Any pics of the driver side header clearancing? Are those stock v8 engine towers?
