1985 factory orange color code/name

What is the name or the code of the factory orange paint used on these trucks? I don't know the span of years this color was used in, but I do know that it was used in 85.

Thanks-

Re: 1985 factory orange color code/name

If you mean Omaha Orange,it has been used forever. That's the only color I consider pure Orange ever offered on GM Trucks. It's a fleet color that from time to time has been offered in the production paint line under other names. It's the Orange you see on Allied Moving Vans. I don't know a code, but www.autocolorlibrary.com would have it. They don't list up past '84,but as I said, the color never changes.

Here's the original information packet for an '85 chevy pickup, as found in the GM Heritage Center archives.

http://www.gmheritagecenter.com/gm-h...olet-Truck.pdf

Exterior color combinations are shown on page 61 and it doesn't show any kind of "orange" available (at least by noun name).

Re: 1985 factory orange color code/name

Thanks guys. For some reason i thought it was called tangier orange, but I'm not seeing it. Omaha orange looks like it could be the orange I'm looking for. Maybe it was used on commercial/fleet trucks only.

Thanks again

Going to look HOT! Remember those Stepside with the white stripe package? I forget what the promo was called, but I remember the Orange and the Blue. That's the Orange. I think of Competition Orange when seen on a hot truck!
