New starter arrived.

My new Permanent Magnet Gear Reduction starter arrived today. It sure looks nice. Hope it performs as well as it looks. It ran $94 dollars delivered. I suppose I could have found one cheaper but this was from a seller on Ebay who also has a web site and deals in all kinds of starters. I'll let you know how it works and maybe give a little feedback on the review board. It is definately a small starter. The motor is a little larger than the outside size as a pepsi can and it weighs about 8#.

That's great !!

I have been thinking and looking at one of those. But right now I have a High output standard type. And look at Mopig starters, They turn forever if necessary.

When it goes, I'll check your review.

Here is a link to the web site. DB Electrical He list the starter for $119 on his web site I got it on Ebay as the only bidder. Starting price was $79 and that is what I paid with $12 shipping and $3 for insurance. I installed it and it went in perfectly with no problems. He supplies the bolts and a shim with your purchase. I chose not to use the shim unless it gave me problems. So far it's working great but I've only got about 6 starts under my belt. I'll wait to get many more starts before I review the starter.

cdowns That starter has the wrong bolt pattern to work on my truck. Isn't that for a 153 tooth flywheel?

I didn't get a hat! I didn't buy it off their web site. I got it off of Ebay. I guess I'll just keep the $40 I saved on the price and buy lots of hats. No, I mean more truck parts. I don't wear hats.
