Hey first post Yay! Manual to Auto question

So Im swapping a 4 speed out and a th350 into my 77 short step side. I have a donor 79 long box Chev. Im having to modify the auto crossmember from the 79 to fit the 77. Not a big deal but had been under the impression it would be a direct bolt in. Was there a change between 77 and 79? I'll post pics of what Im doing later. Thanks

Im not trying to be rude, but you might want to try posting this in the forum for the correct year. This is the 67-72 forum, you want the 73-87 one. Good luck.
