Figured I would introduce myself. Have scrolled through this site alot for information for both my projects. Have learned alot so figured its time to sign up and created an account!

The names Derek, 22, and I love to paint, weld and fabricate. About to graduate college here in 2 weeks as a Body tech specializing in refinishing at PennTech in williamsport, Pa. Do everything from structural, to none structural, restoration and refinishing. Now enough about me here are my toys..

Re: whats going on guys? New here SmokeyHazeEM1 introduction

Here are some things ive painted. Im PPG certified in refinishing and handling. I Hate I can only load up 5 pictures at a time so Ill only post the finish products and not the processes.

-First black coupe is my old car. Bought stock and super beat. Had replaced the rear quarter, swapped in a JDM type r, full suspension and gsr leather interior and sprayed it. Really miss this one, its surprised a lot of people.

-Second is a tank i did for my buddy who builds rods and bikes

-Third is my buddy Jareks EK civic i painted

-Fourth one is from the Kid who bought my black one, wrecked it, and bought this one for me to do.

-Fifth one is my buddy Lee's EG hatchback. Built/sleeved/boosted making somewhere in the 500whp area forget exact number.

All came looking like hell. All were stripped, surfaced, blocked, sealed/based/cleared.

Nice looking body and paint work

What are your plans for the '66?

Did you happen to pick up the '67 Camaro parked next to it ?

Thats actually my dads 67. Bought it off the side of a mountain in the woods a few years ago. He bought all new oem body pieces and stripped some of it internally and its just been a sitting project. I stole the heads off of it for my 86 when i swapped in the 350. He has a 69 Rs at a body shop right now thats been there for years. alot of unfinished projects!

Actually I dont lol. I would have done the body work and painted my 86 by now if I could figure out a color to motivate myself. I was thinking doing a white/black with red pin striping, or the new baby blue off the jeep wrangler artic editions.

As far as the 66 plans go, I plan on Z'ing the frame in the rear and cupping the front a-arms and doing a bag setup. It needs new rockers and floors so trying to do that asap. There is a show in Harrisburg in febuary we always take things to so planning on having it sitting in the mud by then hopefully. Other than that just get the body straight and run her. It has a 350 and 4 speed already so should be a fun daily.

Heres a picture of my 66 parts truck i picked up in the bottom of viginia in the stix for $400. Going to use the doors and some other odds and ends body panel wise. If anyone needs anything specific i may be able to let a decent bit of things go. Also Here is a picture of my buddys essex rod that helped me get my eyes off honda's for awhile and want to work on something else. He build everything himself. 302/t5 bagged all square boxed frame. Strickly Chopped
