Re: 63 and 64 GMC chrome grill and bumper
The Chrome GMC grilles are the same from 1960-66 and are chrome plated steel. the bezels are known for rusting in between the headlights and many GMC grilles have dings above the headlights where there is a sharp edge going around the lights on either side; dings and dents in body lines like this are very difficult for a chrome plating shop to fix, so these drop the value of the grilles vs dents or dings that are not hitting a defined edge or bend. So, a "perfect" undented grille with no major bezel rust that is complete w/ useable headlight buckets or with the lights still in it will bring from 300.00 to 400.00 with some exceptional examples fetching more. Most of these grilles are "good driver" quality and have stress marks and other imperfections in the chrome, and usually have dings and dents. So the usual price would be 150.00 to 250.00 for most grilles and I would about bet money the ones you are looking at would fall into this category just because its so unusual to see anything nicer. Hope this helps
