A fresh TH350 should hold up for awhile.....if the big block runs good and the Vette is junk, i would proably do it

Ditto....But I am not a Vette freak either. Dfeinitely wouldn't do it though if I could not verify how the engine runs.

i agree with Yellow 72 ,, Trade !!! theyre is nothing like the power of a big block or the gas mileage. LOL. I would build a healthy 700r4 to put behind it or a 400 turbo. Hell better than that a six speed but I dont have that type of change ,maybe that why I'm running a small block and a 350 turbo.

A T-350 WILL NOT HOLD UP TO A BIG BLOCK FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME. THATS PROBABLY WHY GM NEVER SOLD A CAR OR TRUCK EQUIPPED WITH A B/B & A T-350

Being just a parts vette I would be inclined to trade. I will let the knowledgable members respond about the tranny cause I don't know anything about tranny strength.

It's a 84,not sure how good the motor and tranny are but i think it would look cool with all of the goodies like.....(remote mirrors, hideaway headlights, electronic dash, four wheel disc, ect) in the 67,but i am thinking........BIG BLOCK!!!!!!!!.LOL

I would rather see a Big Block in a 67 truck than all the bells and whistles from the corvette. With a big block you won't hear bells and whistles, you'll just hear the roar of a big block and that impressive torque will put a smile on your face.

Have you thought about parting the vette out? If you bought the BBC for cash how much would it cost you? I know you can get close to 1500 for the front and rear suspension to a street rod guy. Also lots of 1st gen Camaro guys are looking for the brakes off the C4 Vette's for a big brake upgrade without having to buy the Baer brakes. You might want to check out Vette prices on E-bay and local to you before you make your decision. I parted out a wrecked 89 Vette 2 years ago. I bought it for 2800 and when finished I made about 1700 more than that and still had the LT1, tranny and seats.

There's a reason they call small blocks "mouse" motors, and big blocks "rat" motors. Once you've stuck your foot deep in a fat rats ass, there's NO going back!!!! And I'm also with fast 71....Put some 4.11's and a 6 speed in it Real race trucks have clutch's.

I have been running a th350 behind my 454 for 4 years without a problem. I had the tranny overhauled and added a shift kit when I origanally did the swap. I don't baby it, but I don't drive it like it is rented either. I like it, but I am eventually going to swap it for a th400. Dan

come on you know you want it, you just got to have a BIG BLOCK, if the vette is toast, I'd swap it and like they boys were saying splurge on a good tranny, I wouldn't hook it up to that three speed, thats as bad as putting a 2 barrel on the BB, all blabbing aside if the motor is done right I'd swap it in a heart beat, I've had a couple of BB myself, and theres nothing like having one of those beasts under the hood.
