bed liner

Hey guys

I think i may have found my truck Its actually the original paint job with a bit of paint rubbing off, but little to no rust anywhere

Im going to use this as a truck. haul stuff around.

I was thinking of rhino lining it, but then Id hate to cover up the bed paint thats in pretty good shape. if i ever sell it (hope not), then the next guy might not want the rhino lining...

question is: do they make drop in bed liners for these trucks?

or would you still recommend the spray on/roll on bed coatings?

thanks!!

Re: bed liner

I wouldn't bother with rhino or any bed spray don't ruin the truck specially if its good condition. How about a rubber mat? And then take it out after Yor done it may seem dumb but its a good idea and a small price to pay then using some modern spray to the truck you can go to a tractor supply area or farming equipment and find some mats and such. And I say temporary only if your in a area of rain and such because it will trap the water and over time rust.

Re: bed liner

there are a few scratches and bare spots on the edge of the bed and tail gate now.

id like to protect that edge from more scratches. the bedliners ive had in the past always cover the top edge of the bed too. always like that.

do they even make the drop in plastic bedliners for these old C10s?

thanks

I see well you know they sell metal shields for the edges like the tail gate I'm sure you can find them at lmc.com I doubt they sell the shield for the bottum part like on the actual bed edge newier trucks have that I'm sure you can fit them on yourself tho.As for plastic bed liners for these trucks no they don't I also have never ever seen a truck with one they just don't look right. And if your thinking of using one off of a newier truck don't bother there very hard to work with and can't just be fit on it wouldn't work.My brother just got a bed liner for his newier shortbed chevy and the shop threw it on and it sags on the sides which is terrible imagine putting one on a classic it won't work.

ok, check this out:

im not a big fan of diamond plate, so maybe the rubber ones around the edges and tail gate and then a bed mat...

that could work.

thanks man!

Yup there you go I have the same problem I'm not a fan of diamond plate bs either and everyone has them.I really dig the clear tape type stuff the innovation of clear bras and tape protector stuff is used a lot nowdays. My mechanic scrapped my tailgate to hell. The bed mates are very nice aswell its a small price to pay to keep everything from getting scratched.

Re: bed liner

Not in at the moment but I have one that came from a 85 Dodge swb.Drops in tight and fits good. It stayed in the truck until Last year when I started showing it all the time. And still use it when I go to the dump

Go with a spray in liner. It in no way ruins the truck. Spend the money and get a good one. IMO rhino is bottom teir. Line-X is better. If the new owner doesn't like it, beds are not hard to replace.
