Tom Lowe is a great guy. I bought my side covers from him for the new engine and he is who helped me with what style exhaust to run based on the engine build.

Re: Finned side covers for 250 and292
The 250 I'm installing (today ) has a medium lift and duration cam, flat top pistons, bored .40, balanced, head milled .10, ported, lumped, double z28 valve springs with 194 exhaust and 202 intakes. A clifford heated 6=8 intake with a 4 bbl Holley and cast tube style Langdons headers. Its a 225 HP build , same one in Toms wagon onhis website. 18 inches from the header, the2.5 inch pipes will come together into a single collector, run back before the axle into a 3 chamber magnaflow 2.5 in and 2.5 out to a single tip 45'd at the corner and 45'd to the pavement. A lumpy, deep throated rumble. Sounds like a mild V8 but all the coolness of an inliner
