Re: inline 6 exhaust

Stock manifold with a 2.5 straight pipe, or headers with steel packs, both full length. Steel packs are more mellow than glasspacks.

Re: inline 6 exhaust

I had a straight pipe on my 65, prolly 2.5".. It was a little loud, but sounded cool!

A glasspack muffler would be second choice.

I really like the sound of the old 40's and 50's "lowrider bombs".

I believe they would run a split manifold, then run one straight pipe, and one with a glasspack.

Gave it a loud, raspy sound that was kinda cool.

Do a $20 Cherry Bomb!! That will tone it down just a little bit.

I had a split header on a 232 sixer in a 75 Jeep JC5 with turbo mufflers and it sounded like a V8. It sounded really good!
