Lower Ball Joint Nut???

Ok, so I got the new drop spindles painted, brake backing plate installed and went to go install them and the upper ball joint nut went on no problem but the lower ball joint nut doesnt want to go on... The threads dont appeared to be buggered up and I even tried grabbing the nut from the other side (which is also disassembled) and neither of them want to go on. It goes on about 6 threads and then the whole ball joint turns...

Any ideas on how to get it all the way down???

Re: Lower Ball Joint Nut???

Sounds like the threads on the joint or the nut have a bur. Try an old nut. You may have to chase the threads.

Try tapping or jacking up slightly on the lower arm to get the taper to seat and try to tighten it
