Re: I want to add 2" of lift

2 inch blocks in the back and springs up front will get it done for super cheap.

Re: I want to add 2" of lift

You will not make any adjustments to the steering box. If anything you will just need to get a longer pitman arm. a 2 inch lift will consist of 2 inch blocks in the back, u bolts, hardware, springs for the front, longer pitman arm (if needed).. oh yeah and brake lines and shocks maybe. You could probably get away without lowering the transfer case and not lengthening your driveline with a 2".

You can install a lift on these trucks in 8 hours if you have big jack stands, a breaker bar, and a torch.

If its a 4x4 skyjacker makes a 2.5 inch lift kit.One thing i would add is a steering box brace the 4x4 trucks are known for cracking the frame around the steering box bolts.

Re: I want to add 2" of lift

We put the HD coil springs on the front of my 87 R10, brought the front end up pretty much level with the back end. Moog 6454 I think it was. I know when you order front coil springs from O'Reillys you have the option of the HD springs.

Does not get it up as high as a 4x4 I don't think, but levels it out without bringing the rear down like most do.

Has been a few years but it seems they were right about $100 at O'Reillys.
