webber/holley 2bbl conversion

Has anyone ran the stoveboltengineco.com 2bbl electric choke webber/Holley conversion? I have a gently used set up and cant decide if I want to run it or the 390 Holley. I see Tom @ stoveboltengineco is out of them and cant find them. Makes me think they were popular and I shouldn't sell it?

Re: webber/holley 2bbl conversion

I am sort of the in the same spot. I did a bit of research and i came up with some numbers. the stock carter is roughly 277 cfm the webber 32/36 progressive= 299 cfm
and the 38/38 synchronous-opening =335. I base this on flange diamater.
I have never had much luck with carb adaptors. i would lean towards the clifford.
and keep the webber The clifford can take any of the above.
The i like about the holley is it is so tuneable I dont know much about the webbers.just my $0.02

The good thing about a Holley is it is infinitely tuneable.

The bad thing about a Holley is it is infinitely tunable.

Re: webber/holley 2bbl conversion

Seriously considering this upgrade to my 250 (with old style *nonintegrated* 230 head/intake). Didn't realize it was even an option until someone mentioned it in my project thread while I was saying I wanted to go 4 bbl eventually. For around $250 for all the parts needed, sounds pretty awesome.

Any thoughts? Experiences?
