Re: damaged vin plate
So, You have a damaged cab VIN plate.
Your cab VIN does not match the frame VIN. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=555876 Your frame is not the same series as the cab. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=555880 Sounds like you have an issue here. These questions are really all the same thread/issue. Has the truck been titled in your name? Has it had a VIN verification? Before you do anything with this truck get the paperwork and the truck correct to a point where it will pass a roadside traffic stop. Here in California the title is to frame VIN. If you go ahead with this remember it will not be a true C/20 truck with a C/10 frame and or suspension. The C/20 frame is heavier.

Re: damaged vin plate
Interesting , I actually have lost the vin tag from my cab and can not locate anything on the frame . I went to our dmv and they told me when the truck is all done , they will come and inspect it, and retag it. They said as long as I have the original title they will do this with any issues.
