Google warning using the site search

Looks like we have a problem here. Not sure who to direct this to in a timely manner so here it is. Might be something to do with the updates or maybe they just don't like us anymore!

Re: Google warning using the site search

No problems here. I even made it through the corporate proxy server force field No problems on my phone either. Maybe some sort of update to the system caused that error.

Re: Google warning using the site search

Found this over in site feedback and announcements. Admins have adressed it, just an error, no malicious software.

Re: Google warning using the site search

I just wanted to let others know. Yesterday I was on this site. Typed in speed sensor in the google search and clicked the 67-72 chevytrucks.com radio (as I have utilized this sites search bar many times before). Seconds later my screen was transformed and everything locked up, then started going nutzo. I hadn't clicked on anything other than the radio button and then the google button. 2 hours of hell later- it has been identified as the Exploit Drop virus. wpbto.dll. It slipped past Symantic and was finally snagged by Malwarebytes.
BE CAREFUL GUYS... I have used this sites search function thousands of times- but after yesterday, no more!

Re: Google warning using the site search

I'm running Norton on mine and this is what it returned just a few minutes ago. I haven't experienced anything unusual on the site recently but then again, I haven't used the Google search thingy for a while, either.

WHAT HAS HAPPENED? How could someone send some bad hardward to this site without admins knowing?

Or is it someone mad because the site is better than others.

Its software side and was caught and corrected the moment it was found. The hackers/exploiters usually have one up on the site management, we just have to try and stop them while in progress of clean up what they did and lock them out.

I am sorry for any problems this caused and if anyone needs any help removing anything they nay have caught etc. Please let me know ASAP and we will help you guys clear it up.

Thanks, Josh

I forgot about that.
I used to use it all the time.
I think it was called ghost or restore-it for windows.

On my mac I've been using SuperDuper, and WinClone.
Too bad I forgot to do one recently.

Re: Google warning using the site search

To clarify, the only problem I encountered was the Google Search function. It returned the window as posted with the result links but because of the warning status it would not click through to the threads. If I cut and pasted the addresses everything worked and cleared my anti-virus.
