What would be your ultimate find?
Question for you, thought this might be fun to read and respond for our style trucks
Your neighbor just told you the farmer down the road is scrapping out a truck that kind of looks like yours. You stop by and he tells you to take whatever you want he needs to clean up that field for use. You walk out and you are surprised to find a ______truck. Most of the body panels are pretty rusty but you are shocked to see a _______ in excellent condition. You quickly remove it but you can't take it for free so you offer the farmer some money. He refuses and says to take it. You head out feeling like you really scored. Question: What type of truck was it? What was the item(s) you found? I'll start, since I rebuild clusters mine is a C30 with a full gauge cluster with tach and vacuum gauge. |

Hmmm, since I moved out to Az my ultimate find has turned into an AC dash vent and original system that doesn't cost a million bucks.

Re: What would be your ultimate find?
I wish I could find my dad's 65 ton dump truck.
It wasn't original or in the best shape but, it was his. I spent many, many hours in that truck. First thing I ever legally drove. It sparked my love of this body style. Steven

Re: What would be your ultimate find?
Mine is a 1963 GMC 4x4 with the original 305 V6, plaid valve covers, ac, power steering (wasn't offered), and a $20 gold eagle in the glove box.
I got pretty close, I found a 62 without the ac/ps and gold eagle

Re: What would be your ultimate find?
I would think a 64-66 Suburban with all three seats, clam doors and completely redone from top to bottom for a reasonable price, close to me would be my dream find.

Re: What would be your ultimate find?
A friend of mine's grandfather had my dream truck sitting out back behind the barn with a bunch of other older cars and farm equipment. It was a '66 SWB BBW Custom Cab. It was that Sea Foam green color and white. It was all stock, unmolested and original. It had it's original 283 with a Powerglide transmission. It had power brakes, A/C and I believe it also had power steering. But I definitely remember the power booster for the brakes. What a little sweetheart. This was about 20 years ago now. It's probably still sitting there for all I know.
