Need help to ID Trany
Can anyone tell me what trany this is by looking at the pictures?
It needs a flywheel cover, what would be a good car to look for at the junk yard for a replacement?

it looks like a 350. but the correct way to ID a trans is a pic of the trans pan. if you can get underneath the trans and take a good pic of the shape of the pan, its super easy.
google how to id transmission. hundereds of pics of pans will come up. also the inspection cover isnt really a must-need part. i dotn think anything i have has one. |

TH350C which is a turbo 350 with lockup converter. You can see the electric plug on the side of it.

Nice. Is it hooked up? If I am looking at the same thing you are it doesnt look like it. What do I hook it up to?

It's not hooked up. It's not original to the truck, so it won't help anyways.
I have had many a TH350 or TH400 and haven't had a TC cover on any of them. Never caused a problem one. Gary

I see online mention of an aftermarket TCC control unit to utilize the lockup converter on applications like this. I can’t find any suppliers of said part though. Anyone know of a supplier of the Unit?
