I have seen them with Taiwan stickers. But it seems goodmark parts are a little thicker and the lines are more defined. It just depends on the part I guess. Imagine how big of a building they would have to have to house all of the stamping equipment it would require to make all of the parts they sell. No doubt they utilize outside vendors. Maybe they have a higher standard of quality then other dealers have. I have seen some real junk from overseas but have never been let down by a Goodmark product.

Bought two fenders and radiator support from them........

All fit good................my understanding that most of the units are made over seas, but goodmark offers the best ....

what alot of you guy's have said about fit and guage is true and this is what iv'e been told by many goodmark dist.
Goodmark strives to find the best stampings and dies available and if they can purchase the original GM tooling, they will. these are usually very expensive and the cost is reflected in the price of the part , at least until the initial price is countered and they feel they can still make a profit at a substantially lower price.( lower to us becuase they make a profit regardless.)
The reason for the Made In Taiwan sticker is this and this alone;
CHEAP LABOR!!
As far as the fit goes, that is specifically a quality control issue i.e., dont buy a car that was made on monday or friday.
If you can, at a swap meet vendor, distributor, etc., look thru the pile of pieces and find the best looking, corners, flanges, joints. It makes a difference.
This info comes from my search for the best aftermrkt. qrtrs. for my 69 camaro. goodmark makes them and i have No problem waiving their flag. I waited ten years to fix the ass end of that car ,and I'd be damned if I was going to put bad stampings on her. I found out that there are three different stampings for the rear end, made on only TWO different dies. The best, by goodmark, is an 80% qtr that does not have the roof sail in it. these are made on the original GM dies. the other full qrtr and 70% qrtr are not and have noticeable differences. Uncut seams, improper positioning.
the goodmark pieces also have a gm approval on them. this means that a panel of gm reps. have inspected them prior to being sold to the public. this is important for a quality piece an d the dist should be able to tell you if it has it or not.
BUT, i will say that all new metal needs some massaging. If it doesn't fit perfectly you have to also remember that these vehicles were made on an assembly line. (see quality control above) .
to finish this tirade(ha ha), I will say that by today's standard, a made in taiwan piece is really all you are going to get unless you pay for N.O.S. ($$$$), or find a good donor.
Happy hunting.

Have used Goodmark and non-goodmark panels ----all from Tiwan. Goodmark tells me they have a higher standard of quality, fit, thickness, finish thus their "certification" from GM. In reality, if they use original GM stamping presses, these must be well worn as their quality has never shown to be equal to NOS. That said, we sometimes get ticked at fit of a new panel, door, tailgate from Tiwan when in fact we have a : bed out of square, cab twisted, front rad support cocked etc. If you bought a full set of NOS sheetmetal, you would still need tweeking to get things to line up perfect thus the gigs that GM used at the manufacturing plants to line up assemblies like the doghouse etc. Most of the dealers are handling the best sheetmetal they can buy for us with weight and thickness pretty close to NOS. In reality it's hard to justify paying 2-3 times more $$$ for NOS if you can even find it, for a nice driver. Have just done inner, outer rockers and cab corners on a beautiful 71. Not one piece fit to the original that was removed. Have yet to find one set of outer rockers that was not 1/4 inch too short. So in summary, will make do with what I can get, ***** about it, then go hide in the barn tinkering before my love muffin gets me involved in one of her projects that I hate~~~~. Now if everything fit perfect I would have little excuse to hang out in the barn and have fun~~perhaps a small price to pay for "guy freedom"!!!!!!!!!!!!
