lower ball joint
my 94 gmc needs ball joints replaced, the lowers are pressed in. i see a lot of bolt on lower ball joints, can i convert my pressed in to the bolt on?

I don't know the answer, but I question "why?"
You are going to have to press the old ones out anyway, so pressing the new ones in shouldn't be a big deal at that point. |

Not sure on 2wd, on all 3 of my 4X4s the OEM ball joints are riveted to the LCR, you drill then punch out the rivets and then the replacements bolt in, using the holes from the rivets.
I'm not sure if the LCA's are the same or not, but something tells me they aren't.

Buy some Moog ball joints & press them in, Grease them often & they will last the rest of the trucks life, No need to reinvent the wheel.
4X4 LCA's wont work, No spring pocket. |
