Re: Which inline fuel pump to use on a 5.3
If I am correct in my thinking, the 2000 up 5.3 GM motors require at least 55psi of fuel pressure and will not run without it.
With that said, you need to have a fuel pump that can handle that as well as the lines for pressure and return. This system is really made for an in-tank fuel pump. Using standard grade 3/8 fuel hose with worm gear clamps is going to give you nothing but trouble. I am sure there are others that have experience with this. Good Luck |

Re: Which inline fuel pump to use on a 5.3
I used a Walbro 255, can't remember part number exactly, and am not at home to check. I just ordered one with the kind of end fittings I was needing. Then threaded the fittings in and attached it to a suction side canister filter with hard line. The discharge was attached to corvette regulator with fuel injection hose and clamps. Same with discharge and return from the regulator, attached to hard line with same.. No problems for 2 years.
