That's a nice K2500 for the price and it's only 3 1/2 hours away. I just don't have the money or the need right now.

Montana is the perfect place to find real work trucks! That would make the perfect ranch or farm truck for super cheap. Just freshen up the engine. It would take tons of cash to build a truck with the nice rack and tool bed like that. Winch looks high quality also.

Ahhh...I wish my little Cherokee would pull a trailer big enough to haul that home to Oregon. Love the utility trucks. Just plain love 'em.

Re: Way cool K20 service truck on craigslist

I'm all about the service body K/20s & K2500s. That's an earlier telephone company body. For my uses those are too specialized with no real advantage over a pickup bed with a cap/topper/canopy,especially a work one with tool bins. The utility bodies, such as Reading,Royal,Koenig,Morrison,Knapheide, etc. are a great improvement giving tool bins on both sides and an open 4 x 8 bed that also could be covered. I always liked those phone bodies on the '50s trucks. I've only ever seen those in shortbed. I see there's an added box on this longbed. Truly a cool novelty

Re: Way cool K20 service truck on craigslist

I think those are steps. I am curious about whats added on the dash. I assume the lever lock is to lock the brakes while winching and one of the pulls on the yellow bezel is a manual throttle but what are the other two? Tim, you're right, the bed is all small parts storage so not really practical for most. Would be good for a plumber, could fit all kinds of fittings/adapters in there and keep them sorted and long pipes and ladders up top.

I was thinking PTO, but the winch is electric. Curious.
