1968 LMC Velour Seat Kit Troubles...?

Have a '68 C-10 with orginal bench seat. The kind with springs and the "thin" foam on top. Bought LMC's "Velour' seat upholstery kit. The seat back part fits great! But the bottom part seems WAY too small. I got it on there, but it's so tight the seams are beginning to split at the lower edges. And the upper front corners are sticking out funny like pleats on a pair of pants. Seems to be not cut right at all. LMC says "Pattern is right/we don't know whats wrong". Has anyone else ever tried this seat kit/have any advice?..

Do you have a full view of the seat (preferably with a detail of the seat bracket)?
LMC's part # on the cover and brand, if known?

I believe thats what is on my truck and it does fit very nice, I could not say if my seat is the factory one or not though but it looks and fits like it.

LMC part # is 38-2307-BL.

Have added pictures of the seat brackets and seat bottom.
Can add pictures of the bare frame itself if that helps anyone.

Re: 1968 LMC Velour Seat Kit Troubles...?

Depending on how long you have had them, you may try to get some sort of discount but generic seat covers are never going to be a good fit. It's almost like those clothes that say fits all. It just never happens.

I've used generic seat covers before and have never had one fit just right.
I guess that's why upholstery shops are still in business (and expensive).

btw: the angle of the front of that seat looks somewhat off. Maybe it's the way the pic shows it.
