Wheel Fit (Center Hole issues)
Recently got some newer chevy 16 inch 6 lug wheels. A pic is attacehd for reference. Bolt pattern is perfect. Offset is about 5 inches on the rear of the rim. Plenty of room in the outside lip of the rim. The currenty wheels on the truck are 4 1/4 or 4 1/2 rear offset on the rims.
Problem is the center hole is only 3 inches. It looks as if I need a 3 1/2 inch center hole to fit over the bearing hub in the front and flange on the rear. I dont want to enlarge the center hole, worry of weakening the rim. Has anyone run up against this? Possible solutions? Wheel spacers or adapters? Also this is for her 61 apache. Thanks, Glenn |

Spacers are the quick fix.

Re: Wheel Fit (Center Hole issues)
Thanks Keith.
I see tons of them on eBay. Not sure what I to get. Just a spacer, or a spacer with lug bolts on it also. My stude are quite short. If I get a spacer, I'll need longer studs. Glenn |

Re: Wheel Fit (Center Hole issues)
I would use the adapter style spacers if you are dead set on using these wheels.
They have alot of backspacing,... so they really need to be spaced out anyway. You're going to have to mock them up on your truck to see how thick of spacer you will need. I'm sure a 1" spacer (lug stud style) will be fine up front,... but you might want to run a wider spacer in the rear to make them look right in the wheel opening. (not sucked in too far)
