astro hydroboost question

I was thinking of using the stock master cylinder that came with the hydrobooster I got off of a 1999 Astro.
My question is are the brake ports reversed on the Astro master cylinder?
I know on the stock cast iron vette mastercylinder the rear port feeds the rear drum brakes, and the front port feeds th front disk.
Any help would be great thanks

Re: astro hydroboost question

usaully the bigger resorvor spot in the master is the front , doesnt matter about the master cylinder , u can run any master on it , and the astros had two different hydro setups on them , one with a staight mounting plate and one with an angled one i got mine out of early 90s astros

Re: astro hydroboost question

and there a valve in the newer masters ( i cant remember its name ) but i want to stay away from them , its in gm masters from like 85 and up , makes them hard to bleed

Re: astro hydroboost question

Right on thanks .I got mine off of a 99 with the slanted plate. I took it to a local shop
(Power Brake exchange in San Jose ) and had them take the bracket unt off. He charged me a whole 5 bucks. I got a mounting plate off boardmember CaptinFab.
I wanted to use the Astro master becuse it is so light, but thanks to your info I'll most likley get an old school corvette aluminum one.Oh and I totaly dig your avatar !
Thanks again
