Any ideas on this hubcap?

Friend of mine picked them up and was told they are late 40's Chevy. Any info would be great.

A quick google search shows them to be vintage boat trailer hub caps. Looks like they also make good wall decorations and clocks. You could try to sell them on ebay. I have a friend that used to restore wooden boats and something like these caps would be a good addition to the boat trailers.

Personally, I would keep them as decorative items. Maybe mold it on top of a bikers helmet..

Yes, boat trailer. I am guessing these may have been used into the 80s even. I have seen quite a few up here in "the land of 10,000 lakes"
