Looks awesome, you're doing a great job. I'm doing a 63 C10 now and just fitting things up before I tear down to paint.

Absolutely love the spoked wheels, very, very "classy", very formal looking, distinguished, stately, I could go on... and on

Re: My first Build 1965 C10 Custom Cab SWB
I'm starting to put the wood in bed. I welded all 4 pocket holes on top and went with the hidden hinges. I also welded in the back seam on the side of the bed. I still need to mount Gas door in the wood and I have a few spots to fix on the side of the bed paint.

Re: My first Build 1965 C10 Custom Cab SWB
Very neat truck.
I love these "driveway builds" I did a 1963 VW Beetle like that on the public pavement about 21 years ago. Police came and hassled me at least every 3rd day. They thought I was running a business there. What sort of money did your floor cost you ? It seems quite dark now that you have fitted it. |

Re: My first Build 1965 C10 Custom Cab SWB
The oak wood kit was around $300 with shipping I got a deal on Ebay. Stain was around $60. It's a dark black stain but the grain still show thru very well just not in theses pics. across from my house they train police dogs and keep the police horse and also pratice shooting so I have alot of police driving by. They do stop by once and awhile but only to say it's coming out good or for some info for thier builds. I have done about 4 builds since I lived here with no problems.
