67-70 throttle control rod????

i have changed my 70 chevy truck from straight 6 to a small block.

what kind of setup can i use for the throttle rod to the carb from the gas pedal?

the straight six rod was too short.

anyone have any pics?

thanks

Sorry, I don't have any pics... but the nearest junkyard should provide you with exactly what you need. Uses the same thing; just an adjustable rod that connects to the carb.

I did the same swap. Im not shure what my rod came off of it was on my other truck. It snaps onto a ballstud on the carb and is threaded so the length is adjustible It works great but I dont know where it came from.

I bought the new throttle cable from local Chevy dealer for a 72, Modified the firewall and instal 72 footpedal. Took about an hour, but well worth it.

This throttle linkage is great from Longacre. These are nascar type linkage and the price is good. They have helm type ends and there is no slop in the linkage like the factory stuff. I have had it on a Holley and I now have it on my Demon carb.

Just go to any auto parts or hardwear store and get a couple of helm joints and a piece of all thread and make it. Thats what I did and it didn't cost much, it also works alot smoother and is adjustable as well.
