Lets see your welding carts!!

I've got one to beat everyone! I took the old rotted out center section of a gas grille and removed all of the cooking area. Then I added a wide board there where the grille part went then I placed my welder plasma combo on it and held it in place with a ratch strap. I have had this stetup for over like 3 years and it is perfect for what I need it to do. It is ugly like me but does its job and waste nothing, I even use the box that the machine came in turned over up side down to cover the machine to keep it clean in the body shop as it gets pretty dusty as ya'll could imagine. Total cost in the welder cart ZERO!!! if I remember I will try to get some pics when I go to the shop next time. Jim

I used a gas grill frame too for years. it was rickety wobbly and just terrible.
but it was salvagable so one day I decided too fix it up and bolted a 1/4 thick top on it and made a shelf on the bottom put some hooks on the side for cords it was looking good with fresh dollar store paint job and all. I wheeled it outa the basement to push it out too the garage but got I got sidetracked(her) and left it outside the basement doors near the garbage cans of course when she got up the next day she pushed it too the curb with the trash cans later that day I got home and thought wth did i put the cart at then thinking about the day prior,I went out too get the cart and it was gone???? I never even got too use my fixed up spiffy grill framed welding cart. but I'm sure the trashman was happy too take it
I said too her "did it look like trash?".....she said "well no but YOU DID have it out at the cans on trash day".......

I feel for ya.

I had a situation happen with my 71 Owners Manual that came with the truck.

It was on the coffee table as I was reading it all the time. It was on the table for about 3 days & I went to read it and saw an 800 number written on the front.

I asked the wife if she did it (I knew she did cause our cats can't spell) and she said "well, that is my handwriting" and then she stated "Gee, what was that number for anyway? I don't remember."

My unspoken thought was "it must have been pretty dang important if you had to write it on the cover of a mint 42 year old owners manual and you can't even remember what the darn number was for"

The sad thing, there was a big pad of paper right under the table. Apparently it was further out of reach and not as convenient as the owners manual.

I concur, oh well.

I have now put my mint factory service and overhaul manuals out of her reach.

I sometimes just shake my head and ask myself "what the heck was she thinking?"

I'll give everyone 10 to 1 odds she wouldn't have done that to her Fendi purse or Gucci shoes.
