How do the vent window handles come off?

I'm looking at buying some in better shape, but I'm wondering how to remove them? Almost looks like there's a pin of some sort that needs to be punched out? What tools do I need to remove it?

Thanks

Sounds like you already figured it out . You need a punch to punch it out. Anything small enough and hard enough will do. A 4p hardened finish nail, for instance, available at a real lumber yard if you don't have a drift punch that small.

Re: How do the vent window handles come off?

Went to the junk yard, and found some very nice vent handles off a '71. Now, $5 per handle later, and some elbow grease shining up the window vent crome trim, and I'm very pleased with the results. And, they did come off very easily, thanks to SpecialK. I took a nail and a hammer, and tapped it right out
