Shoulder Belts on a budget

I picked these up in a parts lot and I think they are early square body, but look similar to the correct ones. I don't know what color they are kinda a tan color. There is one female belt included. They will need to be washed.
$32 shipped.
Thanks,
Ray

Re: Shoulder Belts on a budget

The only difference on these is the recessed dimple on the boots is horizontal as opposed to vertical. I have seen several restored 67-72 show trucks with this version of the boots.

The horizontal dimpled belt retainers were available as early as 1972 for sure, possibly '71.

Re: Shoulder Belts on a budget

The dimple in the 1967 shoulder belt boots are vertical made to fit the vertical slot in the {chrome} male end of the buckle unit.
In 1968-72 the slot was turned horizontal on the male end of the buckle unit, so the shoulder belt boot had to follow suit

This makes sense...but I see Woody has a set of 69 red shoulder belts for sale, and they have the vertical dimple as well. My shoulder belts came from a 68 and also have the vertical dimple. It is a subtle difference that I do not think most people would even notice.
