All the brackets are different. If you decide to give away or throw away let me know I'll come and get it.

Re: waht to strip from I6 to use with V8?
Actually, if you want the V8 mounted in the "correct" position you will need a set of V8 engine stands as well (part that bolts to frame and crossmember). Plenty of guys have put their v8's in the I-6 position but the motor will sit farther back and if you run HEI it will be pretty close to the firewall. Are you sticking with the trans that's in it? Not sure how moving/not moving the engine stands will affect that.

Re: waht to strip from I6 to use with V8?
My blazer is a 4X4. From what I have been told, Chevy had the engine close to the firewall on these 4X4 trucks. Sticking with the sm465 and np205. Although I would like to move the V8 forward, I think shifting the engine, tranny, and transfer case forward would cause problems with the front. driveshaft . Do I have this wrong ?

Re: waht to strip from I6 to use with V8?
Thanks, makes sense now that you mentioned the obvious. Guess I forgot to mention I pulled the body off the frame, wire harness off the body/frame, so I sort of left the harness move with the engine. I'll keep the harness to re-install if I don't buy a new harness.
