Upgraded fuel tank selector valve???
I am in the process of installing a 383 in my 87 R10 pickup. Keeping the tbi system. Fuel pressure is being bumped up and I have been told it would be a good idea to replace my fuel tank selector valve with one that can handle the extra fuel pressure. Anybody else have to do this?

Re: Upgraded fuel tank selector valve???
Considering the stock fuel pressure is between 9-11 psi, generally speaking. Unless you are going to 40+ psi, I would think the valve will work just fine. I would be more worried about consistent fuel pressure. Which an aftermarket regulator would solve that problem.

Re: Upgraded fuel tank selector valve???
So this would be a direct replacement?

Re: Upgraded fuel tank selector valve???
Yes, this as close to OE replacement, but minor modifications may be required to fuel line hoses and wiring. Get a complete kit with pigtail plug.

Re: Upgraded fuel tank selector valve???
The switch in the cab will remain the same though right? The kit I saw came with a pigtail and a toggle switch but I would rather keep the in cab switch stock. Also, do you think this will be necessary? I am only planning to run the system at 18 psi and replacing the stock injectors with a set of the higher flowing police car injectors.
